Finding Common Ground on Election Reform

Tuesday, June 7, 2022 – 7:30pm ET
Watch the Recording

Watch former DNC Chair Donna Brazile and former RNC Chair Michael Steele explore ways to find common ground on election reform.

Free and fair elections are at the cornerstone of our democracy, yet many Americans feel disenfranchised about their ability to cast a ballot. Rising polarization in Congress has left voting rights legislation at a standstill. Common Ground Committee was honored to host a free online event in partnership with the 92nd Street Y, New York’s Newmark Civic Life Series of pro-democracy talks and lectures that explored how to address these issues. Watch the recorded webinar now to hear former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile and former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele examine ways we can find a shared path forward. This conversation was moderated by former CBS News Correspondent and author, Jacqueline Adams. Watch the full event video here.

Political division stops things from getting done. But there’s something you can do to bring people together around our common humanity and goals, and strengthen our democracy … one conversation at a time.

Join the Finding Common Ground Unify Challenge on June 15th at 7 pm Eastern for a live one-on-one online conversation (like Zoom) with another person who may have a different outlook on things. It’s not a debate. It’s an invitation to have a productive, open conversation with a fellow American to find common ground and talk about issues our country faces.
